We are a small, family owned café who believe in supporting and giving back to our local community. Our staff are local people, who match our beliefs and not only work hard for us but also learn other skills that they are able to use in other areas of their lives.

  • Our profits are re-invested back into the business

  • We recruit from the local community

  • Pay a living wage to our staff plus tips

  • Train our staff in all areas of our business including customer relations and small business management.

  • Pay for all staff to take their health and hygiene certificates, offer full Barista training as a minimum.

  • We are an integral part of the Bridgwater community where we host events for the local residents, community groups, twinning groups, police surgeries and drop in sessions.

  • Feed the rough sleepers in the area through a pay-it-forward scheme donating one meal ourselves for every 5 donated by the public.

  • Offer a safe place for rough sleepers to shower and offer a clean set of clothes and toiletries to take away.

  • Support local small businesses e.g. photographers, yoga instructors, artists.

  • We source our products from local suppliers where possible

  • Recycle and use compostable packaging wherever possible

  • Support Fundraising through hosting events

  • Part of the Disability Confident Scheme and employ through this scheme

  • Employ through the resettlement scheme

  • Employ residents of the YMCA and support with creating a future

  • We run regular events to support refugees, migrants and others from different ethnic background to integrate into our community and promote contact and cultural exchange with the wider community
